THE POWER OF THE MIND

Strong minds make strong climbers

A Mission Beyond Ordinary

Ordinary people can climb Mt Kinabalu and even some of the older folks in their sixties and seventies will find Kinabalu a scalable mountain. But they will need to have an unyielding mindset.

The Problem of Extreme Exhaustion

However, the problem of endurance and sustainable effort will always rear it’s head. Everyone without exception will face the daunting feeling of extreme exhaustion at different parts of the climb and this is where the power of the mind becomes critical to the summit success.

Beyond Exceptional

I have climbed Mt Kinabalu 70 times and brought almost 4,000 climbers to scale this great mountain. Some of these trips saw stories of true grit and great courage. There were some in their seventies and even early eighties who made the climb and stayed consistent in their pursuit of the summit. Through it all, Tan Sri Azman Hashim stands out as the one true example of exceptional mental fortitude and unfaltering commitment to never giving up.

I salute you, Tan Sri!
